Glover Park Village invites you to meet Farahnaz Forotan, a courageous Afghan journalist who fled her country in 2020 after her life was threatened.

You may know Farahnaz as the pleasant young woman who greets diners at Bon Jon Rumi, Glover Park’s favorite Afghan restaurant. But she is also one of Afghanistan’s most prominent political journalists. In exile, she is the founder and leader of Kaaj, an independent, women-led newsroom powered by a trusted underground network of female journalists reporting from within Afghanistan.
