Dear Glover Park Village Volunteers,

Thank you for all you do to make Glover Park Village a community where neighbors help neighbors!

We’re excited to invite you to a special late-summer gathering for GPV volunteers—an opportunity to connect with fellow volunteers, enjoy coffee and conversation, and gain valuable skills that can make your volunteer experience even more meaningful.

Our friends at Aging & Amazing, a local care management organization that provides social services and education to Glover Park Village and seven other DC Villages, will lead an engaging one-hour training on:

Recognizing Changes & Responding with Confidence & Care

As volunteers, you may occasionally notice a change in a Village member’s behavior, appearance, home environment, or overall well-being. This training will help you recognize when something may warrant attention and understand how to respond appropriately, respectfully, and within your role as a volunteer.

You’ll come away with practical tools for being more observant and confident while helping support the safety, dignity, and well-being of both Village members and volunteers.

And afterward, we’ll have time to relax and connect over coffee, tea, and conversation!
