Join us as local historian, Liliane Willens, provides a detailed history of her personal experiences of living in China from 1930 - 1941. She will talk with detailed slides of growing up in Shanghai in a turbulent era during revolts, Japanese occupation, and a Communist Revolution.

Liliane Willens is a writer and longtime resident of the Glover Park neighborhood. Join us for a lecture with slides about an engaging and often humorous memoir, Stateless in Shanghai, the experiences of a young Russian Jewish woman living in early Communist China. Her book will be available to purchase and sign for participants.
